South Boulder (SoBo): Traits – Known for the Martin Acres, Tantra Park, and Table Mesa neighborhoods, you’ll find a lot of traditional 2b/2b ranch-style homes that have had a top popped or completely renovated, along with various townhome communities.
It’s also home to NIST, NCAR, and some of the best open spaces in Boulder – Marshall Mesa, Dowdy Draw, and Eldorado Canyon.

North, Central Boulder: Traits – Mix between old, ’70s & 80’s homes with areas of new build, townhomes, and mid-century.
Geographically: Defined by a larger geographic footprint – West to Broadway, North to Jay Rd, East to 47th St, and South to Iris. Population ~ 32,000

NoBo (North Boulder): Traits – Becoming an arts district with urban living, restaurants, and access to Boulder’s best cycling north of town.

Old North Boulder: Traits – The original “North Boulder” with the classic North Boulder park. Also home to some classic mid-century modern, with a lot of homes being bought and totally renovated. The Hill (University Hill): Traits – Fox Theater (voted Top Venu by Rolling Stone!) Hip and youthful feel. Older, larger homes also house a larger portion of university students. Highly densely populated – 3500 ppl.
Geographically: South of Downtown, North of Chetaqua, and West of CU Boulder campus. One of the most walkable neighborhoods of Boulder.

Chautauqua: Traits – Known for being a neighborhood of craftsmanship in homes that have been both maintained with their original aesthetics, along with some that have had a major renovation. The area provides Immediate views of the Flatirons, access to Chautauqua Park and an Auditorium built in 1898 that holds many cultural events & concerts.
Geographically: West of Baseline Rd is “Hilltop” and to the North of Baseline is considered “Lower Chautauqua”

East Boulder: Traits – Quiet neighborhoods, access to some of Boulder’s favorite breweries, such as Upslope Brewing, and neighborhood restaurants like Black Belly. Home to a few major tech companies, you’ll find a progressive food and coffee culture driven by people who want to find something slightly more affordable in Boulder.
Easy access to towns East of Boulder, Such as Louisville, Lafayette, Erie, and Longmont.
